House Producer Accuses Kanye West of Stealing His Music for “I Love It”
It’s no secret that Kanye West is a fan of sampling other people’s music. In fact, most of his career as a producer has depended on it. However, West has a history of lifting music from other people without their permission, and has been in hot water for it a handful of times, most recently on Teyana Taylor’s album K.T.S.E., when he failed to clear a sample from Numero Group. Now, legendary house producer and disc jockey DJ David Morales has accused him of stealing his music on his new collaboration with Lil Pump “I Love It.”
As EDM Sauce points out, Morales claims in a video post on his Facebook page that West used the bassline from his 1991 remix of Alexander O’Neal’s “What Is This Thing Called Love?” in “I Love It.” Watch the clip below.
